Dynamic DNS Service (Basic) is a free service. Dynamic DNS gives your pc a valid domain name. You can access your pc everytime at YourName.mydynip.net and even friends can call you with Netmeeting or other chat and video software always under the same name - YourName.mydynip.net. No more hassles with changing IP addresses evertime your ISP changes it.
New Domain - users.freebsd.at - added!
On request we have enabled the domain - users.freebsd.at - for using with MydynIP. You can register now hosts for this domain. For this domain it is also possible to set MX and MX backup entries on request. Furthermore Wildcard DNS entries are possible. If you would like to set one of the above, send a email to webmaster@mydynip.org and include your hostname in the subject of the mail. Be aware that we immediatly cancel every user account using this for any kind of spam or using a MX backup which you are not allowed too!
IPv6 (6to4) AAAA records added to MyDynIP
IPv6 is growing and we added automatic IPv6 (6to4) settings at MyDynIP. Whenever you set your IPv4 IP you also get a AAAA record added automatically. At the moment we add 2002:xxxx:xxxx:0001:0000:0000:0000:0001 as your host IP. The 2002 prefix is reserved for 6to4 connections.
